[Exhib] The bamboo forest

The week of Ascension, We left a few days in the Gard to enjoy nice spots. For several years, There touted us the beauty of the bamboo and we had not yet had the opportunity to go there. Our little trip allowed us to fix this oversight tourism ! We spent more than two hours in an enchanting and we have picnicked there.

In 1856, a botanist decided to Acclimate exotic plants in the Cévennes region, where the climate is rather rough in winter. In addition to the discovery of rare and/or tropical plants, It's a nice trip to the heart of a landscaped garden maintained and cared for.

The tour begins with explanations on the place, then quickly we are immersed in the heart of the matter : the bamboos. Following the route, We discover several species. Some are two-tone, other blacks, still others are very broad or very high… There is also the chance to see redwoods, trees of North America that can reach more than 100 meters high. The specimens were only measure “that” 50 meters. It's already impressive ! The first strut your stuff begin and we must be vigilant because we are not the only tourists. As in the usual, I am often on the verge of being surprised… the breasts or buttocks in the air !

At the end of a driveway, We visit a small Lao village. To have had the good fortune to visit Asia, proposed us rather a postcard : shed of paddy field, Laotian House, Rice granary, pigsty… Little regret, We can't enter the mansions, visible only from outside. The walk continues under a beautiful Sun. Fortunately, the trail is shaded, because it's more than 32 degrees. A pretty typical provencal farmhouse with a beautiful Sundial arises at the bend of a path. We have fun to measure our sizes compared to an ancient flood.
