The libertine campsite of Ran du Chabrier

Pentecost Weekend, MrSirban and I discovered a naughty place with a sulphurous reputation for decades and that we had never dared to frequent. ! I invite you to follow us to discover the Ran du Chabrier (visit their site), a naturist and libertine campsite… that we love or hate, it's the regulars who say it !

It is rare that opinions differ so much. We have heard everything and its opposite about the Ran of Chab’ ! The positive points are “bucolic setting, freedom, keep it simple, Respect”… And the negatives : “dirty or even gloomy, Elderly clientele, very Roots“… Forming an opinion is complicated, I want to take a look at it to find out what it is. The experience of some does not make that of others. I'm doing my heavy I insist to MrSirban several times. He is mixed and moderately convinced by the camping side and the negative reviews. To please me, he agrees to spend a night in mobile home. It will be enough if we do not like it and if we like the concept, we will come back !

Access to the Ran du Chabrier campsite

The campsite du Ran du Chabrier is located in Saint-Privat-de-Champclos, not far from Barjac. It is in the north of the Gard department and in the immediate vicinity of the Gorges de l'Ardèche. The area is very pretty if you love nature. It makes you want to discover the region, we crossed small charming villages.

Not knowing what to expect on the spot, we pee a little on a parking lot before embarking on the adventure, because it is well paumé away from everything !

We borrow a dented departmental (D266A), let's go beyond the PaintBall and let's see the sign indicating “Free naturist areas”. MrSirban's first apprehension gave way to the excitement of discovery. He wants to mark the occasion by making an exhibition in front of the sign. A cyclist rests right next door. He introduces himself : Gégé, he is at the campsite and goes up to capture the network every day… He is jovial and very friendly ! He watches us take a first shot not knowing what to expect and then seeing that it is an exhibition, he proposes to come to the photo and kisses my little breast !

Take the path to the left of the sign and continue the descent to a gate. Attention ! This is not what the GPS indicates ! That of the Tesla stops at the sign in fact and others turn right… We reach the Ran after a few kilometers of track. Do not hesitate to call the campsite before coming, because there can be ruts and it can be more or less practicable. We had no difficulty driving slowly, but it hadn't rained recently and the track was in good condition.

The reception of the campsite

After one or two hairpins and lots of dust, we cross the gate and park the car. The people at the reception of the campsite are immediately very nice and pleasant. They joke and make us feel comfortable. They explain that the campsite is naturist AND libertine. A few days earlier, of clients did not understand this second concept and were traumatized !

At the entrance, it is requested to settle 15 € per person for l’Association du Ran and leave an ID. For a couple, one piece is enough, but if you come alone, it should not be forgotten ! In exchange, you receive a bracelet to keep permanently on you. This proves that we are camping, because people from the surrounding area make incursions into the Ran to have fun.

Flat : they do not take the credit card everywhere. MrSirban digs up a cheque folded in four in the depths of the wallets. Remember to take cash to set the association and the bar. The latter takes the credit card from 15 € and the rates are not excessive, it requires to consume a lot to reach this amount. I've never drunk so much mint in water (2 €) than during the stay !

Right in front of the reception is the grocery store. The prices are very affordable compared to our region. We are from the Var and it would have cost us more at home. There is everything : plug adapters, inflatable mattresses and folding chairs, food for all tastes (Preserved, pasta, rice, cakes…), fresh fruits and vegetables, cold cuts and some cheeses, Alcohols (liquor, Wines, Beers), water and syrups, regional products… It does not look good but it is well supplied.

The campsite itself

It's anarchy ! At least, it's the first impression when you don't know ! There are no demarcated pitches and each one poses caravan, tent or motorhome wherever he wants. It's a happy mess, especially since the pitches are free and without reservation. Those located at the bottom of the campsite (zone the meadow : to the sanitary 3 on the plan) are not connected to water and electricity. You have to count between 15 and 22 € per night on average depending on the period and the mode of sleeping. The campsite has three sanitary blocks. The n°1 does not have hot water. If some complain about dirt, we have not seen it. Block 2 near the refreshment bar was clean and the water was hot when we used it.

The nerve centre of the campsite is around the hut, in the area of the Revelers on the map. There is a very active and attractive bowling alley. The games of balls are linked and the pledges follow one another in joy and good humor ! There is a bar, a restaurant and below, a pebble beach bordering a river. It is possible to naughty absolutely everywhere except… on the beach and in the river ! We really enjoyed it, it confers a great sense of freedom. I sucked two rascals at the restaurant and bar on Sunday, I could also have played in the toilets or in the aisles if it had happened ! Shift 2023 : It is now forbidden to naughty at the restaurant !

We are very pleasantly surprised by the welcome of the people. It sounds silly but everyone says hello ! It feels like home. The staff is very friendly too. It is without any pretension or navel-gazing. Everyone comes to have a good time in one way or another : by making libertine encounters, by having an aperitif – for which there is a real cult ranging from invitations to campers to bar tours -, enjoying nature…

Nothing to waste, the setting is enchanting. It's very pretty : wooded and bordered by the river La Cèze. The campsite stretches for about two kilometers. Walking in Adam and Eve's outfit in this place with the songs of the little birds is liberating. We often hear criticism about the age of the clientele. The average is perhaps a little higher than in Cap d'Agde. It goes from 30 to 70 years. The Ran is a haven of tolerance, conviviality and sharing. We come as we are without judgment. It's uninhibiting.

The comfort mobile home : “sanitary air conditioning”

We opted for the mobile home connected to electricity and water, with integrated sanitary and air conditioning. This may seem logical but beware as some are rented without water or electricity (those to the sanitary block 3) !

It is 20m² and is well equipped. There is a shower with a separate toilet, a bedroom with a double bed and a bedroom with a single bed. You can rent the sheets for 15 € or bring your own. There is also a living room with a bench and a table facing a kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, kettle, Dishes, Pans, cutlery… A small terrace with table and garden chairs also allows you to enjoy the beautiful view of nature to the song of small birds and cicadas.

We chose the mobile home number 8, because it is my favorite number and it is in the area “Height of Eden” ! Exhibit took a step far from ours. They came to welcome us shortly after our arrival. It's between different strategic points : the naughty cave and the hut ! Clean and functional, we slept well and we did not encounter any problems. There is nothing to complain about, we were very satisfied with our accommodation. It cost us 110 € per night early June.

Having a pitch or taking a rental offers free access to the libertine nightclub Le Varan.

The places of debauchery of the libertine campsite

In another article, I will tell you in more detail the naughty parts at the Ran du Chabrier otherwise this discovery guide will be long to read. We managed to do two gangbangs on Saturday, one in the afternoon and one in the evening, and two with ejaculation on Sunday because I was out of service to do something else !

• The Cave

At the eastern end, that is to say on your left facing the hut, there is a libertine cave where there are four large rocks to support and a naughty swing attached to the wall. Rascals are marauding “Just in case” something is happening ! Then, the network not passing, I don't know how men inquire that a naughty activity is taking place, but when it starts… others come out of nowhere ! They must use the radio CiBi or smoke signals. I only see this explanation !

In “great explorers” that we are, my Aimé and I made a first scouting when arriving. There are three men on the spot chatting sitting on one of the rocks. After having lunch with Exhibit, they went to the beach and we went back to the cave to do a gangbang around 3pm. On the face of it, it's supposed to be a period “Creuse”, even though I played with 14 rascals, which TBM30 and Mixmetis (nicknames Wyylde) that you see in the photo. The preferred time would be around 5pm/6pm according to the men present. They were prevented from napping, but no one complained. The atmosphere is really good spirit.

• The hut : bar and restaurant

As incredible as it may seem, La Paillotte is a libertine place on the bar side. Since 2023, Sex is forbidden at the restaurant. The bar lends itself more willingly for questions of practicality and hygiene. Common sense, we would not have seen ourselves doing a gangbang at the restaurant. Unlike Cap d'Agde, which is a naturist village where libertines go massively but there are families, the campsite of Ran du Chabrier is strictly libertine. Unambiguous, It offers greater freedom.

As everywhere in naturist places, it is requested by hygiene to have something under the buttocks to sit : clothing, pareo, panties or towel for example. The idea is not to have privacy on the furniture. It's the same in Cap d'Agde.

And if not, culinarily speaking ? The food is good and we ate well ! The map is not very important, but the dishes are prepared and the cooking of the meats is often respected (blue cooked horse steak). There are fries, Omelets, Steaks, Pizzas, pasta, salads, meat and fish…

The quantities are perhaps a little fair, but I'm a big eater. Ni Exhibicouple, neither my Man complained about the portions. For my part, several days on this diet and I end up nibbling on a camper's leg at night or ordering a double ration. The restaurant is the same for lunch and dinner, but the map changes slightly (e.g.. Steak for lunch and pizza for dinner).

• The libertine discotheque

The libertine discotheque, the Varan, is free for residents of the campsite. The colored bracelet is used to identify us. It does not seem to us that there is any consumption included, because we paid for our drinks and drank only once : a Whisky-Coca for MrSirban and a Perrier for me ! We often hear that the clientele is elderly. We saw some alabaster and silver hair on the dance floor at midnight, can be a little more than at the cave at 3pm. We had a blast and I did a second gangbang on the big central cuddle corner with ten rascals this time !

Positive points of the libertine box :

• the two big central cuddle corners are very well thought out and practical. One can circulate around and hold to several couples on it. It's ideal for orgies ;
• the labyrinth : it is a maze of naughty pieces ranging from the most classic (pieces with mattress) to the most original (medical room with gynecological bed, Cross of St. Andrew, black room, glory hole)…. There are small garbage cans everywhere to throw away used condoms. Two hoods are offered to residents of mobile homes !
• the dance floor is spacious with a corner “bars of pole dance“. If my Man likes to dance this is not my case, we have not tested the dancefloor !

Negative points :

• There is now a shower in the cuddly corners and you have to take your towel with you. The club does not provide any. It's restrictive to play ! Otherwise, There are always showers in the toilets but the problem of the towel remains the same.
• The corridors of the labyrinth have at times small slopes, that we do not see because it is dark.

• The whole campsite, except the beach !

The particularity of the Ran du Chabrier is to be a naturist CAMPSITE AND libertine. The boss accepts that people play everywhere, including in sanitary facilities, at the bar, on paths or on locations… He was very friendly with us, but he really doesn't laugh with disrespectful people or men outside the campsite trying to infiltrate without paying. There is a real freedom that we do not have in Cap d'Agde where the campsite is not libertine and where it is forbidden to naughty in the streets of the naturist camp or in the sanitary facilities of clubs and saunas for example. In terms of area, they are two very different places. Le Ran is a campsite and Cape Town a city. The only exceptions at the Ran are the restaurant and the beach.

The non-libertine beach and the river La Cèze

Because there always needs to be an exception that confirms the rule : the beach is the only place to be only naturist and non-libertine. It is announced on several panels before accessing it. It cannot be ignored, especially since campers say so. It is not equipped and they are pebbles. Take river shoes or aquashoes if you have the sensitive plant… this is our case ! Before you come, a rascal on Wyylde dating site (Doodz34) had advised me to take it. Thank you, because thanks to him we were able to splash around without sacrificing our fragile little feet.

Lucky that we are, the river was expected to be cold but eventually, it had to be within 20°. We bathed there with pleasure and had to stay there for a good hour because we talked with campers. They taught us that there were nice hiking spots nearby.. At the Ran du Chabrier, people talk to each other, Communicate, dialogue and it's great. You can easily integrate, the clientele is open to others and yet I am of a reserved nature.

Tips and Tricks

• the blue card is not taken below 15 € at the bar : consider taking cash. This will make it possible to regulate the association at the reception also. There is no vending machine on site and the first one is at 6 Miles… in Barjac !

• the telephone network does not pass. It's a white area ! You can rent Wifi for 8 or 9 € the 24h for 2 Devices. Staying only one night, we took this option and it works very well.

• It is possible to come only during the day without sleeping on the spot. Rates 2023 are 20 € for a couple, 25 € for a single man, 10 € for a woman. This does not include access to the discotheque, The Varan.

• Single men must be sponsored by a couple to access the Ran du Chabrier. There was concern about a shortage of males, but that nay ! It's well balanced and you don't feel the side “starved to death” that you can have in Cap d'Agde at the Bay of Pigs. After, we were there in June and the campsite was not full.

• the libertine discotheque is free for campsite residents (campers and tenants).

• We can libertine everywhere except at the restaurant, on the beach and in the river. Kayaks with families can pass.

• to put on your shoes, the paths are in small pebbles, scrubland type. I put compensated during the day, river shoes for the beach and in the evening, before going to a naughty box… I went down a slope in tatanes before putting on the all-terrain stiletto heels ! My Aimé kindly brought the tap dancing back to the mobile home.

• the Ran is in flood zone : check the weather before leaving, because it is not an urban legend ! The campsite has been evacuated. People and the campsite suffered extensive damage. It's in all memories, Alain – the boss – and several campers have told us about it and are still traumatized by this tragedy.

Our opinion

The Ran du Chabrier, we love it or hate it or hate it.

You'll hear this often ! MrSirban and I are in the first category : on a-do-re and. Palasoul came to spend saturday with Exhibicouple and us. He found the atmosphere great. He had already come and it was quieter. Patoche04 came by to say hello. We have seen it three times at Ciné X, he is very kind and charming. He told us the same thing ! We may have had the chance of the beginner.

The campsite is naturist AND libertine, the place is strictly reserved for adults to recreational sexuality. If Nature worries you and you are inveterate urbanites, you will be unhappy because it is omnipresent. The setting is idyllic and heavenly. We felt free and liberated as rarely. The clientele is not pretentious or “show-off about”. Everyone comes to spend a moment of sharing in a good mood and respect. There are three religions : a friendly libertinism, the aperitif and the bowling alley ! It's at the right franquette with a good state of mind. The staff is very friendly and the boss, Alain, made us feel very welcome. We felt integrated. Sunday, we were at a table of about ten people, three-quarters of which were known since the day before : Stéphane & Bridget, Marc, but also Exhibit, Kassialiata, Stefan34, Mixmetis, Gregy38 on Wyylde…

We took “just one night to see” . It is certainly not a comfortable campsite, it has two stars, and it's not the great luxury, but we liked the friendly libertine atmosphere and the kindness of the people ! We would not see ourselves spending two weeks there as in Cap d'Agde, one would be afraid of going around in circles, but come back for three or four days, it will be with great pleasure.

This article reflects our feelings. We can diverge in particular according to naughty research and criteria. The conditions were ideal on this Pentecost weekend with perfect weather, a three-quarter full campsite and far from being saturated, enough single men to meet our gluttony. We might not have had the same experience at the end of July or the beginning of August !
