[Travel] The Thailand for our 10 years

For some time I've not posted,. We went to Thailand for fifteen days with my Beloved, Mr Sirban, for our 10 years. A chandelier ! 10 years, to celebrate !

We took some pictures in the hotels where we stayed. We have chosen for our ten years beautiful hotels, otherwise more affordable than in France. For 50 € more than at the Ibis, We stayed in a suite of 66 m² in 5* International. Not to strut your stuff outside, for spirituality is omnipresent and one would almost have had the impression of acting badly. In addition to Buddhism, there are ancestral and animist practices with daily prayers and gifts to the Spirits. We could see the Thais pray in many situations and sometimes incongruous places, as in the heart of Chatuchak market, in museums or in hot neighborhoods.

This trip also marks a turning point in our life as a couple, since MrSirban gave me a demande in unforgettable marriage : knee on the ground at the top of the highest restaurant in Asia to open (64th floor of the Lebua, Sirocco), head in the stars with the moon to witness ! A FYI… I said “Yes” or rather, j ’ have grumbled something that meant “Yes” because of the surprise and emotion !

Our trip was an enchantment of the senses, a fairyland. I invite you with us for a short visit to the land of smiles ! The people are nice, but scammers. They do not hesitate to overinflate prices for foreigners and barely hide from it… behind a smile often when it's not written clearly (Thai tariff vs foreign tariff). The food is delicious and very spicy, even when we ask that it be adapted to our small sensitive palates. Bangkok is a vibrant city, vibrant, Thrilling, alive, between modernity and traditions. C ’ is a city in transition, between developed countries and developing countries.
Wat doi suthep North of Chiang Mai, 306 steps to climb
The North is all equally enchanting with grandiose and wild landscapes, Nature is omnipresent and soothing. We did Chiang Mai and Mae Rim… We had the chance to ride on raw elephants for a whole day taking care of them, We ensure to choose a backup center and not a tourist trap. If you love animals : run away from the places where it is proposed to show tricks (Football, Paint…) or those making gondola rides.

A tuk - tuk to Ayuttahya
A tuk - tuk, at Ayuttahya : These are real crazy about driving on these devices !
We were also able to caress Tigers of all ages, but we fear we have made a bad choice about it and we are absolutely not sure about the welfare of the animals after coming out of this place. Quite honestly, we l ’ did, but we not do so again more. We blame ourselves Frankly for it was foolishly believed that the animals could simply be tamed, but there are fears that they will be abused or drugged to be made so docile..

012The Mahout to Patara Elephant Farm houses, in Chiang Mai

Above, You can see the houses of the Mahout to Patara Elephant Farm, in Chiang Mai. C ’ is a backup center d ’ d elephants ’ Asia, that I advise you if you want to ride an elephant. N ’ will not see shows featuring elephants, for they are beaten and chained to be trained.

Sex, we didn't have too much time to play. The discovery of the country we took quite some time and we well exhausted, but we do not regret ! We're going to catch up in France ! We had every day 1 to 2 activities and it was 43 degrees with very high ambient humidity.

111To Chiang-Mai, Tiger Kingdom

To Chiang-Mai, Tiger Kingdom

About Tigers, we won't do it anymore, because all are encased. We very seriously question their good conditions of “detention”. It is a zoo with free access to tigers, You can pet them, cuddling… Honestly and selfishly, it's super cute. We will tell you the contrary, but it remains a prison for wild animals with most certainly mistreatment. We felt terribly selfish after coming out of it, we have always favored animal welfare and our visit leads us to assume the opposite.

092We made a one day walk an elephant at Patara Elephant Farm.

We went for a walk d ’ a day in back of ’ elephant : MrSirban was an old elephant and for my part, a young lad ! The characters were very different between our two animals, hers was quiet and thoughtful and mine… prankster and player. We fell in love with elephants.

Wat Arun, in Bangkok. We had the chance to visit, then it was closed for renovation. I must say it was super dangerous.
